Historical Building Consents to CCC Owner's Investigator

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITY

The historic building consent was processed under the Building Act 1991 or the Building Act 2004; it has yet to have a CCC issued; and is more than five years old (since the date of issue). When a property owner applies for a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) for historical consent, the process differs from a regular CCC application as Clause B2 Durability of the Building Code must be considered. The clause is essential as it ensures that a building, with regular maintenance, continues to satisfy all objectives of the Building Code throughout its life. Going through this process may be complex for the owner
